Cagora is short for Community Agora. In an ancient town the agora was the one place everybody went: to learn, to meet and to trade. This is that place for the things you are into, in your postcode and around the world.

Why it feels this way
You would go to the thing if you knew it existed. The club has no website, the group is inside somebody's feed, and the noticeboard at the library is the only place it is written down.
Interests scatter the same way causes do. The people are there, the groups are there, and none of it is visible in one place you can search by what you are into and where you live.

One membership
Cagora, Care Share Do and Climateers share one login, one profile and one member record. Your profile has an interest half and a purpose half, and each site leads with its own half.
Joining one does not put you on the others. Adding your interests to Cagora is a single opt in from your dashboard, and so is adding your causes from here.
Learning, meeting and trading is a complete membership. A Cagora member is never nudged towards a cause.

A library of small steps, from two minutes to two hours. Find a group near you, go to a taster session, or bring a friend along. Choose one that fits the time you have. Tick them off and create your diary of done deeds.

That’s how many points you get for joining free (no spending required). You get them again every year, for life.
Every 1 January your full points arrive in each of your two accounts.
Add up to 1,000 bonus points a year.
Get 500 for completing your profile, with at least 10 interests or causes, 3 sections about you and a linked social account such as LinkedIn.
Get another 500 once three people you refer complete theirs. Referrals must be real people aged 18 or over.

Know a charity or community group doing great work, perhaps one close to your interest? Nominate it on Care Share Do, our network’s home for causes. Your Cagora account works there too.
Your nomination puts it in line for the giveaway, and forward for the list members vote on at our Giving Festivals in June and December. Only approved, eligible registered charities can receive votes.
